No audio in just Sonar
"This is a result of another media player controling the audio device. Depending on your configuration, you have to stop all media players and try again, or you may have to reboot your machine." What happens then is that this Soundmax thing just automatically reloads itself (I've tried disabling it and just reinstalling the SoundBlaster drivers but I still get the message that no audio mixer devices are available). Should I simply yank my SoundBlaster card and try to produce audio with SoundMax?

No Audio Device
If you select Control Panel-System-Device Manager, it will tell you that the sound card is working (for both cards). however, click on "Sounds" and nothing happens. sound completely dead
I've done the usual options->midi devices but all that shows up is 'microsoft midi mapper'. I highlight that clicked ok and CW still tells me I've no MIDI output devices selected. It's a basic laptop with integrated audio that I just want to use for sampling and test outs - P4/2.3 - AC97 Avance audio card.

No Active mixer device available
I get the message "audio: AES receiver not responding" during bootup, and apanel reports that there are no audio devices available. Now, the startup and shutdown sounds do play happily, but AES devices connected to the port never lock. I don't think it's software, since I've uninstalled and reinstalled the dmedia

No audio. How do I get it back?
As well download or print any Readme/Install file if it is available separately, it may be included in the downloadable driver file instead of separately. A while back I switched hard drives and along with a switch came the lose of the volume icon from the taskbar/no audio devices detected and no audio.
